I met Deb Steinhart in December. We were both selling jewelry at the FCW Society's Holiday Party. I liked her from the moment I met her. Always smiling, she just radiates positive energy. Sitting with her, I learned more about where her wonderful attitude and her means of sharing it with the world.
Deb is fulfilling her infinite wishes. Her lovely Aladdin's Lamp necklace is the visible (and wearable) manifestation of her dreams. Her vision has expanded into Bali retreats, allowing people to relax, detach and manifest their own dreams in a beautiful environment.
Before leaving for Bali, she was kind enough to answer some questions.
What does Infinite Wishes mean to you?
James Ray, one of the teachers from The Secret, talks about how if you trace back the origins of the story of Aladdin’s Lamp, it was not just about 3 wishes, but an unlimited amount of wishes. The idea that we are each able to create, fulfill and manifest an Infinite amount of wishes, was extremely powerful for me. The Genie is a metaphor for our subconscious mind and whatever we think about, we create; whatever we focus on, the Genie says, “You Wish is My Command”. It therefore teaches us to be aware of our thoughts, feelings and actions and through this awareness, we have the power to create ANYTHING we want in life.
How did you come up with the concept for the Infinite Wishes necklace?
After returning from my first James Ray event last June in San Francisco, I wanted to keep that powerful learning with me, so I searched the Internet to see where I could purchase an Aladdin’s Lamp necklace, to no avail. After scouring the Internet, I attended the NYC Gift Show where I thought that if there was an Aladdin’s lamp pendant to be found, it would be there. I saw Buddhas, peace symbols, Oms, pistols, cupcakes, wishbones—anything BUT Aladdin’s Lamp.
So I decided to create my own!
The concept of the Aladdin's Lamp, coupled with the Root Chakra Garnet bead, reminds us that all our wishes for Love, Abundance, Joy and Fulfillment are ready to be granted.
Additionally, I wanted to “give back” and a portion of every necklace is donated to my friend Hope Rubel, who has recovered from a stroke.
What is the significance of the Garnet?
There are 7 Chakras, or energy centers, in our bodies and the Root Chakra is the first, located at the base of our spine. The Garnet and the Root Chakra both symbolize LIFEFORCE. They keep us solid, stable, grounded, and successful. They also promote and protect health, and regenerate our bodies on a cellular level.

What made you choose Bali for your Infinite Wishes retreat?
My friend Randall Hayward, who resides in Bali, was instrumental in my having the necklace created and produced in Bali. I expanded my idea to create an Infinite Wishes Workshop, and as Randall is owner of The Taksu Spa in Ubud, Bali, it seemed like the perfect match for us both!
What does the retreat entail?
I wanted to share my wisdom in breaking through my own limiting beliefs to create the necklace and everything it stands for. I teamed up with Mary Henry, a student of Deepak Chopra, James Ray and others, who will lead us through meditations, affirmations, and a Vision Workshop. The retreat is part workshop, part spa, and part cultural retreat is where one can learn to breakthrough your limiting beliefs and know that all is possible, nurture yourself at the world-class Taksu Spa, and experience the magic of Bali’s art, music, culture, and spiritual sites.
