A Lesson in Positivity with Joanne Morton

Joanne in her MPL StudioJoanne Morton is the woman behind Magic Passion Love.  She is a one-woman hurricane of positive energy. The best part is that her goal is to share this positivity with you!  One of the founders of the FCW Society, an accomplished painter, a successful entrepreneur, she lives the life she wants and has a blast doing it!

Joanne took some time answer questions about Magic Passion Love and her plans to bring it to the streets this summer.

What is Magic Passion Love?

Magic Passion Love is a renewable, sustainable energy source found within all of us. When used, Life feels Good...when shared, Wow!

• Allow YOUR Magic: Magic is as simple as looking at the mysteries and beauty of life. If one sees the Magic and understands that we are “part” of everything, perhaps we will understand our responsibility to keep the Magic flowing by taking care of our Planet & all of its creatures.
• Feel YOUR Passion: Passion is what can drive us to live our hearts desires. Following our Passions and living one’s dreams can inspire others to live their full potential. We are not here for ourselves but for future generations – this should be a priority. Live your dreams to inspire a positive life for others.
• Live YOUR Love: Most important is LOVE. We must start loving ourselves so we allow ourselves to love each other. Loving enough so we can move in the of direction of inner peace thus creating peace on Earth. Peace is Possible.

Where did you get the idea for Magic Passion Love?

In 2003, I was walking down Avenue A when three words came to me - Magic Passion Love.
My 1st reaction to MPL - was “What? HUH?!”
What the hell was I supposed to do with Magic Passion Love
when I needed to make money to pay my rent?
In between looking for work, I began to realize if I truly wanted to earn a
living being me 24/7 - there could be no more lies...
I knew that I needed to figure out what MPL was and what it meant to me.
SO I began to seek information – I began my spiritual quest.
I studied with teachers, took workshops, read books, and actively
attracted others who were on their own spiritual quests.
I didn’t have to figure it out alone anymore. I began to understand that Magic Passion Love was my own personal energy source and if I accessed it then all of MY DREAMS ARE POSSIBLE!

 Your paintings are so kinetic, full of energy. Where do you find the inspiration for them?

I paint abstract paintings to express... me playing...being serious...because that’s what life is. The paintings represent the various feelings & ideas I experience and it’s a lot of fun to just let it go with paint.

What do you have planned next?

I am working with The MPL Project with selling our MPL products in NYC as well as stores & online. I am also co-producing an event that celebrates the 40th Anniversary of the Stonewall Riots that kicked off the Gay Movement, "THE REVOLUTION HAS BEGUN" on June 4 as well many other fun public art events happening over the summer!
