Joey Ramone Place is located at the intersection where Bowery meets East 2nd Street in New York City. This is just a north of where CBGBs once stood, the birth place of The Ramones and punk rock.
It’s estimated that the sign marking Joey Ramone Place is stolen more than any other street sign in the city. If you see it in person, you will notice that it hangs high up – much higher than any other street sign. This fact seems somewhat fitting.
This embroidery painting was hand-sewn, using tent stitch on 22-count Aida cloth. The finished piece measures 5 ¾”x7 ¾” and is in a 8 1/2” x10 ½” frame. It is one of a kind.
