Joey Ramone Place
Joey Ramone Place is located at the intersection where Bowery meets East 2nd Street in New York City. This is just a north of where CBGBs once stood, the birth place of The Ramones and punk rock.
It’s estimated that the sign marking Joey Ramone Place is stolen more than any other street sign in the city. If you see it in person, you will notice that it hangs high up – much higher than any other street sign. This fact seems somewhat fitting.
This embroidery painting was hand-sewn, using tent stitch on 22-count Aida cloth. The finished piece measures 5 ¾”x7 ¾” and is in a 8 1/2” x10 ½” frame. It is one of a kind. You can read more about it here.

Saint Joe Strummer
Joe Strummer is nothing short of a hero. The original mural used for this embroidery appears on the side of Niagra in Alphabet City. Painted shortly after Joe's passing, it commemorates the life of a rock and roll hero (or mine, at least).
This hand-stitched counted cross stitch is a one of a kind piece. It measures 4.25"x6" on 20-count embroidery cloth. You can purchase it through Etsy.

Winter Rooftops - Miniature Embroidery Painting
My favorite weather is snowing. I’m not a sun person – pale skin and the tendency to get over-heated leave me predisposed to the cold. I love the spring and fall, the potential each season holds as we watch the earth bloom and then pack it up for hiatus. This hiatus gives everyone something of a carte blanche. Knowing it’s cold out, during the winter months we are allowed to stay in. We eat a little more and savor what it is to be warm in body and mind.

Brownstones, row houses, terraced houses, whatever you want to call them. These buildings make up the neighborhoods south of the Brooklyn Bridge. Beautiful in their character, they sit quietly against one another. Some are more ornate, with stained glass windows and intricate details.
