Pink Party Earrings

I don't know where these beads came from. They've been hanging out in my bead collection for ages. Finally, I'm able to give them a purpose.

Big and sparkly, these simple plastic pink beads have a lot of character. I call them "Pink Party Earring" because they remind me of the days when I played dress-up. Now that I'm older, I still like to play dress-up. But in my case, it's adding a little flair (or as my mother would say, pizazz) to a casual outfit.

You don't frequently see Angelfish in jewelry and I'm not sure why. These fish seemed to beg for placement, caught in a freeze-frame motion swimming along.

I've been a long time fan of Bollywood movies: the opulent scenery, the elaborate musical sequences, the ever-twisting plot twists, the music and the exotic costumes.

With the success of Slumdog Millionaire, it's been great to find reasons to celebrate Bollywood style. NYC has several Bollywood and Bangra nights inviting people to dance.

These earring were designed for that purpose. Inspired by the movie Devdas, they sparkle in fun colors. The earrings themselves are light, so there's very little extra weight on the ears as you're jumping around.

I'm all about fun jewelry these days. Perhaps it's the sunlight. Perhaps it's that I'm wearing fewer layers. I feel like flitting. So I've create this set.
