It's been a week of manifesting. What is manifesting? Basically, it's the idea that visualizing what you want in life will allow it to happen. It's the power of positive thinking, it's overoptimism. Call it what you like, but there's something to it. Focusing your energy and thought on what you want is bound to have positive effects. In China it's call Chi, in yoga it's called Prana, in religion it's called Faith. We all experience it to some degree.
In her book, Creative Flowdreaming: Manifesting Your Dreams in the Life You've Already Got, Summer McStravick introduces her own manifesting technique called "Flowdreaming." Similar to meditation, it involves envisioning what you want by experiencing the emotions you expect it to illicit. These emotions will provide serenity and allow you to visualize your desires.
She addresses the frustrations that people have when they feel like they have been manifesting, but see no outcome. What are they doing wrong? Why aren't things happening fast enough? Sometimes the universe gives you exactly what you're looking for. Sometimes you receive what you want in a round about way. If you feel that life isn't happening fast enough, are you appreciating what you already have in life? It's all about being in the flow, the zone where you find harmony and happiness. And it's all about the energy you put out to the universe.
Our lives are a work in progress, that's what makes them interesting. This book offers a perspective on how to find what you want out of life and appreciate what you have.

I used to listen to Summer on Hay House Radio! I love the whole concept of "flowdreaming!" I should probably pick up a copy of this book.
