Featured Artist on Made It Myself

This is really a banner week for me.  Not only did I receive the Lovely Blog Award, but I'm also the Featured Artist of the Week on Made It Myself. 

If you're not familiar with this site, it's a wonderful community of people who make handmade items.  The Internet is just bursting with opportunities and social networking sites.  On one hand it's just awesome, on the other it's a little overwhelming. 

I love the Made it Myself community because it really is most social.  People on this site really do engage with each other.  We're all promoting our work, sure, but this community does go beyond the "check out my shop" links.

Mostly because the moderator and site founder, who also runs Made For Me By Oaklie, is fun, funny and encouraging, the site has a nice energy (even in Cyber space). 

I'm thrilled to be a part of it!
