Fun in the Crafternoon (well, really evening in this case)

Crafternoon: A Guide to Getting Artsy and Crafty with Your Friends All Year Long is a book written by the wonderful and hilarious Maura Madden.  I worked in the same office space with her for a few months and her humor and creativity cannot be matched.  My colleagues and I didn't work with her directly, but we really wanted to.

In October she released her book and embarked on a tour.  I'm happy to say that she's finally made her way home back to Brooklyn.  You can pick up a copy of her book, have some fun and meet the woman herself.

A message from Maura:
On THURSDAY, MARCH 26TH, FROM 6:30-8pm, Maura will be signing books and demonstrating cool DECOUPAGE projects at SPACECRAFT, a totally rad craftstore-slash-craftworkspace in Williamsburg.

Bring your own projects, surfaces to decoupage (boxes, frames, furniture..), and paper goods to collage with. Or buy materials at Spacecraft! She'll provide the Mod Podge, brushes and how-to.

If you haven't already stopped by Spacecraft, you will love it! They stock great craft supplies in the front of the store, and in the back there's a massive table where folks can sit and get their craft on. The walls are covered in cheerful collage murals and there is plenty of space to craft in. Yep, this place is dreamy.
