Halloween Soundtrack

I consider myself an all-around creative person. Dabbling in various creative forms (writing, dance, photography, etc) I find avenues to express myself. The one area I've never really warmed to is music. I'm not sure why, probably because I never found a natural ability. Learning an instrument seems to take more time and effort than I'm willing to put into the endeavor.
This fact doesn't bother me in the least. Because it's so far out of my ability, it holds a bit of magic. I enjoy being the person in the crowd awed by the sounds ability of performers. What I do possess is a love for music of all kinds. Over the years, I've been a DJ, highly involved with my college radio station (even after graduation), worked in record stores and surrounded myself with musicians. I may not be able to write a song, but years of exposure have taught me how to make an awesome mix tape (or CD compilation).
So as Halloween approached, I thought about my favorite songs for the day. There are many I found 135 in my collecton alone. Here are the ones that made my cut this year.
"I Put A Spell On You" - Screaming Jay Hawkins
"Red Right Hand" - Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
"Spooky" - Dusty Springfield
"The Killing Moon" - Echo & The Bunnymen
"Dark Days Indeed" - Firewater
"Devil Inside" - INXS
"I Want Candy" - Bow Wow Wow
"Halloween" - Siouxsie & The Banshees
"Spell On Me" - Reverend Horton Heat
"Halloween" - The Misfits
"Dead Beat Descendents" - The Fall
"Hell City, Hell" - The Supersuckers
"Cruella Deville" - The Replacements
"Witch Doctor" - David Seville
"(Ghost) Riders In The Sky" - Johnny Cash
"Devil's Tear" - Helium
"Blah Blah Blah" - Say Hi
"I Walked With A Zombie" - R.E.M.
"Season Of The Witch" - Luna
"Do The Zombie" - Symbols
"Hellbound" - The Breeders
"Mr Ghost Goes To Town" - The Five Jones Boys
Now, I know there are some obvious omissions (due to many years spent in 80's dance clubs I just can't hear Ministry's "Every Day Is Halloween" again and noticed a lack of Oingo Boing in my collection), but these are the songs that I want to hear most this Halloween. Fortunately, there's always next year.

Quite the selection you've put together! I haven't thought about Echo & the Bunnymen for ages! I've always liked INXS and the song "I Want Candy!" (I do want candy, BTW). Happy Halloween!
