Roses and Silk Necklace

I haven't bought beads in while.  In fact I've put the brakes on buying supplies for a bit.  My crafting eyes tend to be swifter than my hands.  I just love the potential that each new project or element holds.  I just have to remind myself that they actually take time to complete.

The good thing about this is that I've accumulated quite a collection over the years.  People have given me their neglected bead collections and jewelry, I've bought beads on vacation at trade shows; and sometimes it seems I need to consume.

So now when I sit at my workspace everything feels vaguely new.  Perhaps I had an idea in mind a year ago, but the idea is gone.  Most likely, I bought something with other beads in mind or bought them together.  Now with some distance they come together in different, unexpected way.

This is evidenced by my new Roses and Silk Necklace.  I love these rose beads (as you can tell) and they seem to be discontinued.  So I've been a little leery of doling them out.  But while I was making another piece I pulled them out along with some silk beads ... and viola!

This can be purchased from my Etsy store.
